On Wednesday Pete and Fritz once again went with our guide Paul while the rest of us decided to take it easy and more or less stay on Piste for the day. Paul took Fritz and Pete on a tour though Zurs, Lech and beyond. About half way through the day Paul was leading them down a slope when it gave way and he was buried in the avalanche. It took Fritz and Pete a few minutes to get to Paul as the entire slope was now an exposed rock face and the had to traverse around the ridge to find away down to him. Luckily there was a group of Norwegian skiers close by who saw the avalanche happen and were able to get to Paul quickly and dig out his face and clear the snow out of his mouth. With every ones help Paul was freed from the snow pack in about 15 minutes. Paul survived the accident with out broken bones or injuries, but he was pretty shaken up as one would expect. In the end the only victim of the avalanche was one of his skis.
