Après ski is a huge thing through out Europe but St. Anton brings a whole new meaning to the term "Après Ski". Before you leave the mountain of St. Anton at the end of the day you have 2 choices, the Crazy Kanguruh or Mooserwirts... Both are fun but the Moose is out of control, everyone is dancing on the benches to a rocking DJ whose set list include, Austrian and German music as well as American music. The American songs that get the crowed going crazy are Country Road and YMCA... I have never seen anything like it... people dancing in their ski boots, drinking beers, Gluvine and shots of Jagermeister ... then after 4 hours of Après ski everyone had to put on their skis and ski down the mountain a good 300 yards to the village, in the DARK too... the best way to describe it is a battle field....bodies everywhere, people falling down, others who could not even get their ski own are sliding down the hill... I just remember dodging people as I flew down the hill one evening and looking over to see Andre skiing next to me carrying his beer... I was not sure if we were better drunk skiers or we just did not drink as much as the people who were sprawled out allover the hill...
